Maybank has recently introduce a cardless withdrawal service. You can use this service to send money via Maybank2u or Maybank2u mobile app. So it is more like a sending money service instead of a withdrawal from ATM machine.
Maybank is having a contest for this new service too where you will get a chance to be one of three daily winners to win RM500 with a Cardless withdrawal transaction. Note that there will be a service charge of RM1 after 28 February 2014.
To send money, you must have a Maybank2u account. Login to Maybank2u, select “Transfer”, and then “Cardless Withdrawal”. Key in the Recipient’s mobile number, name and amount (minimum RM100) and remember to request a TAC number. Enter the TAC number and proceed. You will then receive a Withdrawal code. Forward the code to the recipient.
To receive/withdraw money, you will not necessary be a Maybank user/customer. Go to any Maybank ATM machine, press Enter and select the preferred language. Select “Cardless Withdrawal”. Enter Transaction ID (not sure what is this, but should be an unique ID to your self as the transaction’s reference) and the Withdrawal Code. Then take your cash.
