Received My Google Adsense Earnings First Time From Western Union

Although this is not my first time to get a cash out from my Google Adsense but for this time, I have been waiting for about 10 months to achieve the $100 minimum payout. I believe my Google Adsense’s earning is improving and hopefully it is.

Why I choose Western Union? I think this is the fastest way to receive your money in your own currency. By ordinary cheque, you will need to wait one month to get Google Adsense cheque to deliver in Malaysia. Then you will need to wait another month for the bank to clear the cheque.

When receiving fund from Western Union, make sure you bring along the payment detailed – The Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN), amount of payment and the sender information (Google Inc and its address) and your identification card.

The Western Union’s fees or charges are unknown. There is no detailed breakdown on the payment receipt. Maybe it does not have any fee or charge. The currency exchange for this payment is pretty low which is about USD1.00 = RM3.3460019.

To enable Western Union for your Google Adsense, login into your account, under My Account > Account Settings, click on the Payment Details and choose Western Union to enable. Make sure the your name in Google Adsense account matches the name on your identification card.
