The Start Property Fair 2009 is coming this weekend (27th – 29th November 2009). The property fair is organised by The Star, a local newspaper company, and the fair will be held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Center from 11am to 7pm.
If you are planning to buy a new house do remember to visit the property within the 3 days. Go there early to avoid crowds. You also can find the exhibitors like banks and property developers at this link: The Start Property 2009 Exhibitors.
I’m thinking to buy a new house too but I think have to delay a few months due to some cash flow problem and also other investment. But I think still worth to have a visit to the fair.
Besides the exhibition, Stewart Labrooy, the CEO and Executive Director of Axis REIT Managers Bhd, will be giving a talk on alternative investment on REIT (Real Estate Investment Fund). Some of the topics are include: What is REIT? Why REIT? The risk factors and REIT in Investors Perspective.
REIT normally give a return higher than fixed deposit rate, normally 5% – 10%. REIT is like stock which also can be traded at KLSE (Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange).
